The French Government’s Olympic committee is willing to run the 2024 Olympic games with less risk of exposure for the fans. As a result, they might incorporate blockchain technology into the ticketing system and provide non-transferable, personalized passes to spectators.

According to recent reports, the interministerial delegate of the French Government’s Olympics Michel Cadot submitted a report that contains some potential amendments for the 2024 Olympic Games to the Prime Minister of France.

One of the recommendations emphasizes on the ticketing system for the event and he plans to make the tickets non-transferable and sent by the organization to the fans a few days before the start of the Olympics. In his view, blockchain technology will provide the fans with additional security.

This potential update is coming after the incident at the Champions League Final (Real Madrid vs. Liverpool) that was held in Paris last month. The kickoff for the game was delayed by over 30 minutes because thousands of British fans turned up without tickets or with fake ones.
