According to recent reports, Tesla CEO Elon Musk wants crypto to play a bigger role in Twitter’s future. On a video call with his employees on Thursday, Musk argues that “money has become fundamentally digital at this point” and that Twitter should move towards incorporating digital payments.

He was quoted saying “I think integrating payments into Twitter would make sense so that sending money back and forth would become easier. And also if you have currency as well as crypto.

He stated that the goal would be to maximize the usefulness of the service as the more useful it is, the better it will be. And if it can be used to make convenient payments, that’s an increase in usefulness.

Also, he mentioned news, entertainment, and payments, as three critical areas that people are compelled to live in. And so he plans to make Twitter compelling as such that you can’t live without it and that everyone wants to use it.
