Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of centralized cryptocurrency exchange FTX has mentioned his plans to integrate the Bitcoin Lighting Network. This is coming a few days after his comments to the Financial Times that Bitcoin has no future as a payment network.
Those comments did not sit well with the Bitcoin community and he faced a serious backlash as a result of that statement. But he is also considered smart for changing his mind on the issue by replying to a comment on a tweet saying he’ll mention it to his devs, referring to the integration of Lightning Network.
The Lightning Network is a second layer added to Bitcoin’s blockchain that allows the parties involved to carry out transactions outside the blockchain network.
The CEO of MicroStrategy Michael Saylor told the exchange CEO that FTX will have an advantage over others for supporting Lightning. Though no further detail was given about the possible integration.
